Rogers International Commodities Index®

Traders interested in tracking commodity markets can look to the Rogers International Commodity Index® and the sub indices. According to the web site: http://www.rogersrawmaterials.com/, the Rogers International Commodity Index® (the “RICI”) is a composite, U.S. dollar-based, total return index created by James Beeland Rogers, Jr. (“Rogers”) in the late 1990s. The RICI® was designed to meet the need for consistent investing in a broad based international vehicle; it represents the value of a basket of commodities consumed in the global economy, ranging from agricultural to energy to metal products. The value of this basket is tracked via futures contracts on 36 different exchange-traded physical commodities, quoted in four currencies, listed on eleven exchanges in five countries.

Four pages are installed. The first page is a quote page and the three remaining pages are charts.

Requires the RICI exchange enablement.

Spreader Sample Pages

Traders using the CQG Spreader can use this 11-page collection as an information source for utilizing CQG analytics along with the Spreader order routing interfaces. These sample pages include spread bar charting, CQG’s Order Tickers, as well as TFlow charting and analytics applied to exchange traded calendar spreads.

Examples include spreading the e-mini S&P 500 to the Nasdaq 100, synthetic crude oil calendar spreading, and fixed income futures spreading. Requires CQG Spreader Enablement.

Custom Intraday Volume Studies

The CustomIntradayVolumeStudies.zip displays custom studies for tracking traded volume volume into the bid and volume traded at the ask price for intraday bars

The descriptions of the custom studies are:
BestAV: Volume of trades at the ask price (green line)
BestBV: Volume of trades at the bid price (
BAVolCr: Five bar running sum of trades at the ask (green line) and five bar running sum of trades at the bid price (red line).
BAVolOs: The difference between the green and red lines in the BAVolCr study.
BarTFVo: Similar to the TFlow volume study, this study plots red histograms for traded volume into the bid and green histograms for traded volume at the ask price.

Short Term Interest Rate Spreads

Monitor and trade short-term interest rate futures from a single page. The symbols include 3-month Sterling, Euribor, and the Eurodollar contracts. The chart and the simple order ticket are linked to the CQG Quote Spreadsheet.
